La Purisima Mission, the halfway point in this month’s “Route”, is an expansive landmark. On the nearly 2,000 sq feet of land, you feel totally immersed in California’s Mission history.
The small town of Los Alamos is at the heart of California wine country. It’s around 150 miles from Los Angeles, about a 3-hour drive, and is located at the junction of US Highway 101 and State Route 135.
