This week we talk about two articles in Issue #130, released at the beginning of March. First, our reactions and thoughts on Mark Andrea’s article “The Beers We Remember”. This article was an enjoyable read and had us thinking about our favorite beers and breweries in Southern California. Many of the beers and breweries Mark mentions in the article are among the favorites in our group, such as The Bruery in Placentia. If you enjoy sour beers like Kelley, The Bruery has many sour variations to choose from, all having distinctly different flavors. On the weekends, you can find Tim sipping a cold brew at Valiant Brewing in Orange. Their classic-style beers are brewed with fresh ingredients that change based on the seasons. For instance, you can expect to enjoy a Saison with Lemongrass and Pear Tea to be released in time for the summer season. We think Southern California breweries and beers may be the best in the nation, what do you think?
In the second half of the show, we discuss the last page Op-ed in #130 by San Diego Mountain Bike Association President Kevin Loomis. Kevin’s piece calls for leadership within the International Mountain Bicycling Alliance (IMBA) and takes a strong stance that IMBA would be better served focusing on reflecting their members views in regards to mountain biking in the wilderness. While we have some differing opinions on cyclist’s using wilderness trails, we all agree that this is a topic that must be discussed.
