Team Oceanside prepares for an epic RAAM (Race Across America) race day starting in Oceanside on June 17th, to make it “as fast as humanly possible” to the finish in Annapolis, MD. The team is made up of 8 riders and a support crew of 10-12 people that includes racers, Police Officers, local business owners, and local riding friends. One such teammate is a familiar face and local track racing star, Nate Koch. You may recognize him from events like the Sprint Open at the Los Angeles Velodrome and at the World Cycling League World Premiere.
Nate Koch will be rolling a set of MOFO88s during the race. These wheels will eventually be given to the winner of the Cycling MOFOs/Team Oceanside raffle, with the proceeds also going to the Rady Children’s Hospital. The organization is “a 520-bed pediatric care facility providing the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside, and Imperial counties.”
For a chance to win Nate’s autographed MOFO88s (a $1290 retail value) and support the cause, simply purchase a raffle ticket for $20 HERE.
The RAAM is the longest endurance bicycle race in the world and considered the “World’s Toughest Bicycle Race.” The race covers 3,000 miles, 170,000 feet of climbing, 12 states, 88 counties, and 350 communities.
