Feeling like a cycling outcast because you don’t have the coolest kit or the most expensive bike? This satirical cycling site, “Jahvahaah Internationale“, pokes fun at the pretentiousness and seriousness that radiates around some cycling brands. With tag lines like, “Even More Seriouser” and a “Travel” section that mocks the ridiculous and sometimes unnecessary costs of group organized bike tours, “Once in Portland, you’ll stay on the finest of couches. Littered with children’s toys and pet hair, the accommodations will force you to tune out distractions. Like a PRO”, makes us laugh out loud. It is true that you can be driven to ride by the desire to improve your racing performance, but the sentiment of Jahvahaah is that you shouldn’t feel the pressure to ride full out every time. We agree that sometimes it’s OK to just ride for fun. Sometimes you wear your mountain bike helmet while you’re on your road bike (I’ve totally done this), or you hop on your bike in mismatched gym clothes for a ride around the neighborhood. Either way, just getting on your bike and pedaling is good enough for us, and hopefully, good enough for you.
