Looking forward to taking a trip to San Diego soon; will make a BATventure of it, what say you? The ‘recommended directional’ nature of the trail looks like a lot of fun. Kudos to all the volunteers who diligently worked to make this happen, both on the ground, but also behind the scenes. To help continue these efforts on Black Mountain, as well as the panoply of projects that SDMBA is stewarding into the future, you can donate here.
All contributions made go directly to support trail building at Black Mountain Open Space Park -and- donations for the Black Mountain Building Fund will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 thanks to a generous pledge from SDMBA Platinum Sponsor, Trek Bicycle Superstores.
Fall/Winter 2018-19 Update:
SDMBA continues its strong alliance with the proud team of City of San Diego rangers at Black Mountain. Shovels finally hit the ground on the Black Widow Trail on December 1, 2018. This first work day attracted almost 80 volunteers, many of them first timers! There will be many more work days before this project is complete so check SDMBA channels for updates.
