Metro presents 626 Golden Streets in the San Gabriel Valley
Celebrate the completion of the Metro Gold Line Foothill Expansion with 17 miles of car-free roads organized by Bike San Gabriel Valley and presented by Metro. On Sunday June 26th you can explore the Gold Line route free of cars, with sponsored activity zones and hubs dispersed along the route as places to rest and have fun. There will be an array of activities to do at each stop, including Zumba classes, professional chalk artists, city hop-scotch, live music, food trucks, and the list goes on.
Meet at the Irwindale Metro Hub Sunday morning at 8 a.m for the 626CX Cyclo-Fest hosted by SoCalCross. Riders can choose from several cyclocross events or combine them into a mini stage race. Registration and the start/finish are located in the Fiesta Parade Floats backlot just next to the Metro Hub.
Starting at 8:00 am, each hub will be buzzing with activities. To get a head start in planning your Sunday, the free 626 Golden Streets App will help you organize your plans and provide you with all the information you’ll need on the day of the event. You can even scroll through the music lineup and set an alert when a band you want to see is about to perform; the app also lists bathroom and first aid locations. We’ll see you there!
